Sandia Casino Events Tonight

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Halloween falling on a Friday night is awesome enough, but tonight many area casinos are aiming to outdo each other with their macabre celebrations.

  • The event starts tonight with a pre-party Salsa Social at 9:30 p.m. Rise and shine the next day, with workshops beginning at noon at Sandia Resort & Casino. The workshops vary in.

Santa Ana Star Casino’s The Stage is turning things upside down with a circus freak show theme. “Cirque – New Mexico’s Ultimate Halloween Party” is featuring “strange and fantastic frights” of circus freak shows, according to a Santa Ana Star Casino news release.

Partygoers can watch a fire-eating siren, a “grinder” burlesque beauty, an extraordinary contortionist, a death-defying stilt walker, a little person barker and a unique half-man, half-woman little person. The performers will be scattered around The Stage doing bizarre performances all night.

The party also will have a little bit of Vegas flair. DJ Karma, resident DJ at the Aria’s Haze nightclub in Las Vegas, Nev., will mix the hottest music and keep things going bump in the night. Step off the dance floor for a moment to enter the costume contest. It might just pay off and earn you the top prize of $1,000.

“This year, Santa Ana Casino is bringing the big top to the Stage for a very special night of fright-filled fun,” Santa Ana Star Casino of Marketing Tammy Neil said in the news release. “Through elaborate styling by Bravo Alpha Events, the space will be dramatically transformed into a realm where the freak show spills into the nightclub and where the ordinary and extraordinary intertwine.”

For the ultimate bewitching time VIP tickets allow you exclusive access to the Sky Level VIP Lounge and VIP bar, “Cirque” signature cocktails, a candy bar of sweets and treats, a tarot card reader and more.

SANDIA RESORT & CASINO: Head over for a howling good time to Sandia Resort & Casino for its Devil’s Delight party tonight. The event is usually filled with guests in some pretty remarkable costume choices. From the menacing to the spine-tingling to the enchanting, there is usually a costume for every category conceivable and then some.

Wear your best for your chance to win some big cash prizes, trips and more. There will be $15,000 in cash and prizes. Giveaways include a trip for two to Denver with tickets to see the Broncos, trips to Taos for ski or snowboard excursions, a trip for two to Mardi Gras and a trip for two to Alaska. First place wins $500, second place gets $300 and third place takes home $200. Judges’ choice wins $100 and best overall takes $700 cash.

ISLETA RESORT & CASINO: Come to Isleta for bewitching bingo. It will conduct a special evening bingo session from 6 to 10 tonight. The buy-in is $10. All the packs you can play and every game pays $1,000. There will be a special $2 Halloween game that pays $1,000, plus a special Halloween Costume Contest for a total of $1,000 in cash prizes, according to an Isleta news release.
